The desktop RS 50 reader sorter is designed to handle daily workloads of several thousand documents. The system is simple to use, robust, easy to access and to service and very versatile: conceived as a check processor for banking and remittance applications, it is equally at home in any application that can benefit from codeline reading, stamping, endorsing, encoding, imaging and sorting. The RS 50 can therefore be used to advantage in applications such as ATM deposit slip processing, credit transfer slips (GIRO), lottery tickets, food coupons, medical certificates etc.
Depending upon processing requirements and document size the RS 50 can achieve throughput rates of up to 100 documents per minute at low speed and 200 at high speed.

Ideal for back-office use

Codeline reading, encoding, imaging and sorting
Voiding and endorsing options

Automatic Document Feeder :

The document auto feeder can hold up to 400 standard documents. To ensure that only one document enters the paper path at a time, the double feeding control (transparency check) works with two photo sensors at different heights, located immediately after the feeder.

Codeline Reading , MICR and OCRs :

The decoding system for OCR documents (optional) can read OCR-A, OCR-B and E13B codelines, as well as the most commonly used barcode fonts, with outstanding accuracy and reliability. Up to two OCR read heads, or one OCR head & one barcode-only head, can be installed on the RS 50, allowing to read optical codelines printed at different heights. All optical heads are height-adjustable with a knob & see-through LED system.

Hold&View Stations :

Following codeline reading, the documents may be centrally stopped in the hold&view station for visual verification or manual key entry.

Voiding and Endorsing :

The programmable inkjet endorser can print a variable string of data on the rear side of the document, up to full document width. The roll-on rear stamp is automatically inked before each stamping action by an inking roller; the stamp pad can be personalized by the user.
Voiding and endorsing are both optional features, controlled by the application.
