PDFImager is a
batch conversion utility for creating PDF files
from raster images. The created PDF file is in
"Image Only" file format, thus it does
not contain searchable (OCR-ed) text entities. The
main purpose of the program is to provide a fast,
easy to use batch utility for large number of
files, where the input images can have different
sizes. It has 3 operation modes:
Batch
interface: select any number of files
interactively from
different directories. Save
the file selection as a "job" and
process
the files either interactively or in
deferred processing mode
Watched
directory: PDFImager will look for
newly-placed image
files in the directories
specified, and convert them to PDF. For each
directory there will be a setup, with options
of deleting or moving the
original raster
file, destination directory and processing
(DPI, image
size) options. Great for network
use.
Command line
option: Use PDFImager as a UNIX-type utility
with a
wide array of options for processing
"jobs" or individual files. Used
in
heterogeneous operating environments.
