Assistant Data Entry
Overview
AIG Assistant Data Entry is a very powerful tool which allows
the keying of the data associated with an image.
It is an ideal solution to enter the information with a great level of reliability to improve
the grade of information provided by any automatic recognition process (OCR, ICR, etc)
when the recovered data is poor.
AIG Asisstant Data Entry brings the following benefits:
It helps the operator keying by jumping form zone to zone after each

where the image holds the pertinent
information to be typed.
Accelerates the indexing process since the operator works viewing the original
digitized documents.
Allows the use of short-cuts to avoid typing recurrent data into the fields.
Permits to alternate the selected image zones at the front of the document as well
as for the rear of it.
Allows to control the order in which the indexes should be entered.
Lets you define multiple configurations in a way that you can
distribute the data
entry jobs into different operators
or through different stages of the process for
reveision purposes.
It has a simple and intuitive configuration interface while flexible which allows
the
tools to adapt to different requirements.
Configuration
First,
from the AIGscan, a group of indexing zones must be created.
This simple procedure consist in defining
in a template or sample image, each zone covering the part where the informationfor the related specific index is. To each of these zones
a name must be assigned to be associated with the final index.
AIGscan, allows to control for each individual defiend zone the following aspects :
Document side (front or back)
Rotation
Invertion (black to white and white to black)
Contrast
The
second and last configuration step is to configure
the Service Application itself, simply by
selecting the group of index zones which are to be used, and setting which index corresponds
to each zone. Additionally the order of index input must be set.
Execution
From the Application, AIGscan, the
service application is turn to active, clicking a buton,
once you are viewing the batch you want to index.

Assistant Data Entry, guides the operator who has only to type the data shown at the
screen and automatically saves it by pressing only one key.
